The Open source giant and one of the best software, QGIS will be available as the latest QGIS 3.0 version. This version is not going to be drastically different from previous versions. But many useful algorithms have been rewritten to work faster & better and now many will have the capacity to run in the background without blocking user interface. A new 3D map viewer is going to be introduced. The PyQgis Python API will undergo so many changes; this is the news for programmers.
The Udemy.com is offering an advanced course entitled “QGIS 3.0 for GIS Professionals” and the website says “By the end of this course students will have a working knowledge of how to interact with the QGIS interface, the data storage options that are available to them, how to create beautifully styled maps for printing, the basics of analyzing geospatial data, and much more!”
There is no prerequisite for this course but elementary level GIS knowledge is essential. One who is keen to work in GIS field and faces some software related issues can pursue this course and achieve his goals.
